How to Use WordPress as a Facebook CMS

1. Log on to your WordPress website by inputting the website name and entering “wp-admin” after adding a slash after the dot com. Input your user name and password and hit “Enter.”
2. Navigate down the left side of the WordPress dashboard menu to the heading “Plugins” and click on it.

3. Click the “Add New” button at the top of the next screen that appears adjacent to the title “Plugins.” Enter “Facebook” into the field provided. There are a minimum of 33 pages of WordPress plugins that interface directly with Facebook. Some add your WordPress posts directly onto your Facebook wall, while others simply post a link or an excerpt on your Facebook wall when you create a new WordPress post. Others simply add a Facebook widget to your WordPress sidebar. Review all the applications and choose the one that best suits your requirements.
4. Select “Install Now” beneath the preferred application name. Answer “OK” when it asks if you want to install this application.
5. Click on “Activate Plugin” after installation and follow the instructions for configuring the plugin. If it places a link in the “Settings” part of the WordPress dashboard menu on the bottom left of the screen navigate to the plugin and click on it to configure the settings.
6. Press the “Connect with Facebook” button to allow the plugin authority to access the Facebook site. Select “Allow” on the screen that comes up.
7. Choose the options for your WordPress posts automatically appearing on your Facebook wall. Options include font setup, colors and more. Select the ones that apply to your uses.
8. Write your blog post as you normally would and configure the “option” in the block provided below the post or as a button in the WordPress post, however the plugin displays. Configuration may include naming the Facebook account to post to, whether you add a share link or more.
9. Use “Facebooks Notes” on your Facebook fan page to import your blog directly to your Facebook fan page if you don't want to use a plugin.
10. Edit your Facebook fan page; click on the “Facebook Notes” application, select “Edit” and on the screen that pops up click “Import a Blog.” On the next screen that appears type in your blog feed address. Every time you create a WordPress blog it will post automatically to your Facebook fan page and act like a content management system for Facebook.
