How to Install and Activate Thesis Wordpress Theme

1. Unzip your Thesis theme files. When you pay for Thesis, you are given the option to download a .zip file containing all installation files. Unpack the .zip file using the Windows file utility or a program like Winzip.
2. Log into your server with an FTP client. Filezilla is a free, popular FTP client. Once you are logged into your server, locate the Themes directory of your Wordpress installation. The Themes directory is found it the WP-Content folder in your Wordpress installation directory. Upload the unzipped Thesis theme package into the Themes directory.

3. Set your Thesis file permissions using your FTP client. Set the entire Thesis directory to use '755' permissions, which will allow your Wordpress installation to access the files. In the Custom folder, change the 'custom.css' file and 'custom_functions.php' files to 666 permissions so you can edit them from the Wordpress administration panel.
4. Open your Wordpress administration panel and select the Appearance tab. In the appearance tab, locate the Themes panel. In the Themes panel, select Thesis and choose the option to activate the theme.
