How to Enable OpenID Server in a WordPress Blog





1. Open the 'Plugins' section of the WordPress dashboard menu, then click 'Add New.'
2. Type 'OpenID' in the search field and press 'Enter.' When it appears on the result screen, click 'Install Now,' 'OK' and 'Activate Plugin' to return to the 'Plugins' menu.

3. Click 'Add New' again. Search for and install the 'XRDS-Simple' plugin. Click 'OK' and 'Activate Plugin.'
4. Open the 'Settings' section of the dashboard and click 'Discussion.'
5. Scroll down to the 'OpenID Settings' section and click the 'Enable OpenID for comments' check box. Click the following check box if you do not want to require OpenID users to enter their names and email addresses when leaving comments, and click the final check box if you want to automatically approve all comments from OpenID users.
6. Click the 'Save Changes' button.
