How to Rotate Images in a WordPress Blog
1. Click 'Plugins' to expand the Plugins section of your website's dashboard menu. Click the 'Add New' link to proceed to the search screen.
2. Type 'Random Image Widget' on the search screen, then click 'Search Plugins.' The Random Image Widget appears first on the result screen.
3. Click 'Install Now' under 'Random Image Widget,' and follow by clicking 'OK' and 'Activate Plugin.'
4. Click 'Appearance' on the dashboard menu, then click 'Widgets.' You should see a new widget in the 'Available Widgets' section of the window called 'Random Image.'
5. Drag the 'Random Image' widget from the center of the window to the sidebar area on the right side.
6. Enter a name such as 'Image Archives' into the 'Title' field.
7. Click the drop-down menu after 'Number of images to show,' and select the number of images that the widget should display.
8. Click the 'Path to image directory' field, and type the path to the folder where images are stored on your website. The default folder is '/wp-content/uploads/.'
9. Click the 'Look for photos in subdirectories' check box.
10. Use the two fields next to 'Scale to' if you would like to define a fixed size in pixels for each image. This prevents the sidebar widget from changing shape each time a reader loads a new page.
11. Click the 'Save' button.
