How to Convert From Cutenews to Wordpress

1. Log in to your Wordpress admin area. Click 'Plugins' from the menu bar, then click 'Add New.' Type 'Other-Ext-WP' into the search box in the middle of the screen, then click 'Search Plugins.' Look for 'Other-Ext-WP' in the search results; it should be the top result. Click 'Install Now' just beneath it, then click 'Activate Plugin' when the confirmation screen appears.
2. Click 'Other-Ext-WP' from the Plugins menu of your main menu bar to bring up the configuration screen of the plugin. The plugin can import comments from your Cutenews site if you wish -- select this option from the 'Add Comments?' drop-down menu. From the 'Select User for all Posts' drop-down, select the user you want to be listed as the author of all the Cutenews posts you import. Finally, enter the path to the Cutenews installation in 'Path' if the plugin has not already detected it for you.

3. Click 'Start Transfer' to begin the transfer. The process may take some time if you have a large number of posts or comments on the Cutenews site. When the process is finished, examine each imported post manually to ensure the formatting and category structure has been imported correctly, and correct any mistakes you find.
4. Check the comments imported by the plugin. You may have to manually delete some of the comments you flagged as spam. Also, check that the URLs of the commenters have transferred properly, and if not, correct any errors or omissions.
