How to Activate WordPress in GoDaddy
1. Navigate to GoDaddy.com and log in to the Account Manager using the user name and password fields at the top of the page.
2. Click 'My Products' on the left side of the page, and then click 'Web Hosting.'
3. Click the 'Launch' link beside the name of your GoDaddy Web hosting service. This opens a new window titled 'Hosting Control Center.'
4. Click the 'Your Applications' button at the top of the page, and then click 'Install Apps.'
5. Select 'WordPress' on the list of available applications, and then click the 'Install Now!' button.
6. Click the name of the domain that you want to install WordPress on.
7. Enter a user name for the GoDaddy Community, and then click 'Next.'
8. Enter a name and password for the WordPress database. For example, you might call the database 'WordPress.' The database name is private; it is not the same as the name of the WordPress blog, which visitors can see. Click 'Next.'
9. Enter a folder name in the 'Install Directory' field if you want users to enter a directory name such as 'www.example.com/blog' to view your WordPress blog. If you want users to view the blog when entering the domain name only, such as 'www.example.com,' leave the field blank. Click 'Next.'
10. Type the user name and password that you would like to use when logging in to your WordPress blog.
11. Type your email address.
12. Type the title that WordPress should display as the name of your blog.
13. Click the 'Finish' button to finish installing WordPress. GoDaddy requires approximately 24 hours to complete the installation process and set the blog up. When the process is finished, you will receive a message from GoDaddy at the email address you provided.
