How to Design Websites on WordPress

1. Find a web host. There are thousands of them on the Internet that support WordPress. WordPress has its recommended sites; however, you can use any that you are comfortable with.
2. Install WordPress. You must download and install the application onto your computer.

3. Read the documentation on how to create your website. There is a lot to read and understand to create the site that will be perfect for your uses.
4. Upload a WordPress template. Save the template to your wp-content/themes folder. Tens of thousands of templates exist for you to choose from. Take your time and find the right one for you. You can change the template later if you decide you don't like the one you start with.
5. Sign in to your WordPress admin panel. Click 'Appearance' and then 'Themes.' Activate the theme you uploaded.
6. Alter the theme to fit your site's purpose. You can change the images, text and colors. Each theme has different modifications for you to try. If you know HyperText Markup Language, or HTML, then you can alter it further.
